Q:->"When we're intimate, we have the tendency to miss Fajr. How do we satisfy an essence of marriage while still maintaining our obligations to Allah?"

A:->Of course Fajr should never be missed because of intimacy. Avoiding intimacy should also not be made a habit as that will affect your relationship.
The impediments of waking up for Fajr is the burden of having to shower in a cold morning at 4am.
That's why I highly encourage you to shower soon after your intimate experience and before you sleep. Not only is this better Islamically, to sleep in a state of taharah, but it also removes the burden at 4 in the morning.
Whatever your strategy, never should you delay the prayer for any reason that is within your control.
