Why Should I feel Bad?

Once, there was this guy, who was in love with a girl. She wasn’t the most beautiful and gorgeous but for him, she was everything. He used to dream about her, about spending the rest of life with her. His friends told him, “why do you dream so much about her, when you don’t even know if she loves you or not?  First tell her your feelings, and get to know if she likes you or not”.
He felt that was the right way.   The girl knew from the beginning, that this guy loves her.   One day when he proposed, she rejected him.  His friends thought he would take alcohol, drugs etc and ruin his life.  To their surprise, he was not depressed.
When they asked him how was it that he is not sad,  he replied, “‘why should I feel bad? I lost one who never loved me and she lost the one who really loved and cared for her.”
Moral:  True Love is Hard to Get.  Love is all about giving to other person without greed of gaining anything in return, if other person rejects it, its him/her who will be losing the most important thing in life. So never feel dejected.

Story of Regret

There was this guy who believed very much in true love and decided to take his time to wait for his right girl to appear. He believed that there would definitely be someone special out there for him, but none came. Every year at Christmas, his ex-girlfriend would return from Vancouver to look him up. He was aware that she still held some hope of re-kindling the past romance with him. He did not wish to mislead her in any way. So he would always get one of his girl friends to pose as his steady whenever she came back. That went on for several years and each year, the guy would get a different girl to pose as his romantic interest.
So whenever the ex-girlfriend came to visit him, she would be led into believing that it was all over between her and the guy. The girl took all those rather well, often trying to casually tease him about his different girlfriends, or so, as it seemed! In fact, the girl often wept in secret whenever she saw him with another girl, but she was too proud to admit it. Still, every Christmas, she returned, hoping to re-kindle some form of romance. But each time, she returned to Vancouver feeling disappointed.
Finally, she decided that she could not play that game any longer. Therefore, she confronted him and professed that after all those years, he was still the only man that she had ever loved. Although the guy knew of her feelings for him, he was still taken back and have never expected her to react that way. He always thought that she would slowly forget about him over time and come to terms that it was all over between them. Although he was touched by her undying love for him and wanted so much to accept her again, he remembered why he rejected her in the first place-she was not the one he wanted. So he hardened his heart and turned her down cruelly. Since then, three years have passed and the girl never returned anymore. They never even wrote to each other. The guy went on with his life… still searching for the one but somehow deep inside him, he missed the girl.
On the Christmas of 1995, he went to his friend’s party alone. “Hey, how come all alone this year? Where are all your girlfriends? What happened to that Vancouver babe who joins you every Christmas?”, asked one of his friends. He felt warm and comforted by his friend’s queries about her still, he just surged on.
Then, he came upon one of his many girlfriends whom he once requested to pose as his steady. He wanted so much to ignore her ….. not that he was impolite, but because at that moment, he just didn’t feel comfortable with those girlfriends anymore. It was almost like he was being judged by them. The girl saw him and shouted across the floor for him. Unable to avoid her, he went up to acknowledge her.
“Hi… how are you? Enjoying the party?” the girl asked.
“Sure… yeah!”, he replied.
She was slightly tipsy… must be from the whiskey on her hand. She continued, “Why…? Don’t you need someone to pose as your girlfriend this year?” Then he answered, “No, there is no need for that anymore…”
Before he can continue, he was interrupted, “Oh yes! Must have found a girlfriend! You haven’t been searching for one for the past years, right?” The man looked up as if he has struck gold, his face beamed and looked directly at the drunken girl. He replied, “Yes… you are right! I haven’t been looking for
anyone for the past years.”
With that, the man darted across the floor and out the door, leaving the lady in much bewilderment. He finally realized that he has already found his dream girl, and she was… the Vancouver girl all along! The drunken lady has said something that awoken him.
All along he has found his girl. That was why he did not bother to look further when he realized she was not coming back. It was not any specific girl he was seeking! It was the perfection that he wanted, and yes… perfection! A Relationship is something both parties should work on. Realizing that he had let away someone so important in his life, he decided to call her immediately. His whole mind was flooded with fear. He was afraid that she might have found someone new or no longer had the same feelings anymore… For once, he felt the fear of losing someone.
As it was Christmas eve, the line was quite hard to get through, especially an overseas call. He tried again and again, never giving up. Finally, he got through…. precisely at 1200 midnight. He confessed his love for her and the girl was moved to tears. It seemed that she never got over him! Even after so long, she was still waiting for him, never giving up.
He was so excited to meet her and to begin his new chapter of their lives. He decided to fly to Vancouver to join her. It was the happiest time of their lives! But their happy time was short-lived. Two days before he was supposed to fly to Vancouver, he received a call from her father. She had a head-on car collision with a drunken driver. She passed away after 6 hours in a coma.
The guy was devastated, as it was a complete loss. Why did fate played such cruel games with him? He cursed the heaven for taking her away from him, denying even one last look at her! How cruel he cursed! How he damned the Gods…!! How he hated himself… for taking so long to realize his mistake!!  That was in 1996.
Moral: Treasure what you have… Time is too slow for those who wait, Too swift for those who fear, Too long for those who grief, Too short for those who rejoice, But for those who love… Time is Eternity. For all you out there with someone special in your heart, cherish that person, cherish every moment that you spend together that special someone, for in life, anything can happen anytime. You may painfully regret, only to realize that it is too late.

The Dilemma of Love and Regret of Lifetime

She was a simple homely girl from a small town who had many dreams.  He was a simple guy with a successful career.  Fate brought them together, she fell in love and he accepted his feelings for her too.  She looked upon him as her everything.  He understood her more than anyone.  He wanted to provide everything that was good for her.  She wanted to do everything that can make him happy.
alam , tahir
He wanted her to grow out of shadows of in-home life and become a self-dependent.  He wanted her to learn how to face the harsh reality of society and make a career, so if anything happens to him in future, she can survive.   He was constantly guiding her and often even scolded her when she made mistakes.  He was molding her for her own good.  She was getting a success and many guys were showing interest in her.  Oh did I mention she was a beautiful too!  She had a smile that can fill anyone’s heart.
As time passed, she became more confident and her career was reaching its peak. But he as always stood by her, always guiding her and continue to push her for more progress.  However, she was no longer liking him giving her advice.  She felt that she is more than capable to decide what to do.  He too was always working and differences started to grow.  She never understood why he was always pushing her for more and more.  But she started quarreling with him.  It grew.  She left him saying, “I am not the one to listen to you always, I can decide what’s best for me now, I am successful, There are many guys who will be more than happy to accept me as I am, If you do not like it, go to hell.”
He felt hurt.  He who loved her since she was a simple homely girl, failed to understand why would she think in such a negative manner about him.  He who always wanted her to be self-dependent, who felt proud each time she reached the new height of success, how can she say such things.  He left her saying,
“Perhaps the ego of your success has grown in your mind that you have failed to feel my feelings for you in your heart.  I loved you when you were a simple girl without a career or a success in your life.  My intention was always to encourage you, not to make you feel anything less.  Perhaps, failure is mine that after all the time we spent together, I couldn’t make you understand what you are for me and what I wished for you.  I wished only best for you, I wished you achieve more success than me.  I wished you do not make the same mistakes which I made.  That was the only reason I always guided you and scolded you.  May you find everything you ever wished for.”
He knew that both are made for each other, no one can make them happy as much as they can make each other. But, he had no words left to say as he was truly heart broken. She later realized it but, it was too late and had to end up living with the regret of a life time.
Moral:  Only those who care for you will try to show you the right path by guiding you or even being harsh occasionally – only because they want the best for you.  Think for a minute of your past and person who was part of your life then but not today, Where would you have been today if it was not for such person to be in your life?  Let go of ego and anger because eventually, it will cost us what could be the most valuable part of our life

Heart Touching Hindi love story-

LOVE AND MARRIAGE

Short Story – Love and Marriage

It is a very common saying that marriages are decided in heaven but I dont think so we being human fall in Love and if it is successful than we say ” God support true Love” or if not than “this girl or boy is not for me as marriages are decided in heaven” I want you to share your thoughts on the same after reading Priya’s Love start.
Priya was a simple middle class girl with dark skin tone.  Looks plays an important role in everyones life. Priya was also not exempted.  Priya become an introvert as she had made her mind that she is not beautiful. Even her members and outsiders use to make fun of her looks. She started to live in a fear.  As she dint had any friends with whom she can share her feeling which in turn made her more sad. Her only time pass was to watch TV or apply a face pack.  Days pass in this fashion.
There is a turning point in everyones life. Jitesh was bought that turning point in Priya’s life. Jitesh was a very Handsome guy from a orthodox family. Daily Jitesh use to watch Priya. Jitesh never had any girl friends because of his bought up and family culure. He had an urge to have a girl friend like all the guys. Jitesh found it safe to propose Priya, with this intention Jitesh one fine day proposed Priya.  Every girl want to loved and cared even if she say it aloud or if she say I dont care I am happy alone. Priya was very happy she dint even thought once and said a yes. It was the first time Priya liked herself. They both were happy. Jitesh was happy too as first time he proposed a girl and got a direct yes.  With this confidence he made an invisible wish last in his mind on what are the order things he wish for from a girl.
We are social animals.  Now a days physical relationship is common in affair. Its not a sin and an unwanted gift of mordernization. Our couples were not exempted from it either. They took their first step in Jitesh friends room when they both were alone. It was a mixed feel for them, they were happy, they were guilty, they never want to repeat, they want to do it once more, they were scared and they were confident.  A new and special feeling for both of them.
Days pass and they continued with it. However life is not always happy like bed of roses..

THE COFEE TABLE

Story of Love and Family – The Coffee TablePhoto credit: from twitter.com/tahiralomI was withering in pain. A pain my body had experienced once before. I wanted to scream, I tried, but I couldn’t. I wanted to stop Riya, grab her and tell her how much I loved her. And I loved her; I loved her too much to stop her. I had to let it go, once again.**

2 years beforeThe sensual aroma of grinding coffee beans would please the nostrils while the eyes savored a lush green garden filled with squirrels engaged in their lovely activities. The fresh and refreshing air would ease up the brain and the musical chirruping of birds would provide a sense of completeness, a sense of euphoria. This was the usual environment that one entered into as he stepped into the cafe, The Coffee Table. The cafeteria was attached to a gift shop and this was the place which had encompassed my life for the past decade. After 3 consecutive business failures I ended up with this gift shop along with the cafeteria. I spent the first half of my life in this endless toil, searching for something I knew did not exist. The shop was located opposite to a lush green park which was the reason to air was always fresh and refreshing. The pleasant environment ensured a wide range of customers, ranging from joggers in the morning to the lovely couples in the evening. I would often converse with the customers which led to a healthy bonding. Sometime these conversations would last an hour or two. The young ones would talk about their tales of love while the older ones would talk about their journey through life and their vivid memories of old times. One fine day a young girl in her early 20s walked into the gift shop. She had soft brown hair and a fair complexion. She was indeed really pretty. She started browsing the key chains. Her face bore the innocence as that of a child.“Seems like you need some help” I offered.“Yeah, I really do” she said smiling like a little kid.I helped her finding a keychain for her boyfriend whom she was meeting at the park, a fine young man named Aryan as she told me.“Thank you so much!” she said as she was leaving the shop.“Anytime young lady, bring Aryan for a cup of coffee sometime” I smiled.“Sure thing uncle!” and she left.**A few weeks later the same girl entered the shop, I didn’t recognize her for a while as she had hardly visited the shop since the last time.“Hello Uncle” She greeted softly.“Good evening, what are you looking for today”“A greeting card, it’s my friend’s birthday tomorrow”She was barely able to speak. Her eyes were moist and strained, one could easily point out she had cried a lot. Not an unfamiliar sight for me, a break up I had assumed.“Long night I guess” I said pointing towards her moist eyes.“Yeah” she mutteredI helped her find a suitable greeting card, she paid and was about to leave. I still couldn’t take my mind off her moist eyes and felt a strange longing to make it right. After a couple of thoughts I hesitantly muttered “Well I know it is none of my business, but it is going to be all right. Just give it some time”Her lips trembled, sensing that she would cry any moment I spoke almost immediately “Oh I am really sorry dear I didn’t mean to pry”“It’s okay” she added “can I sit here for a while” pointing towards a nearby table.“Sure, as long as you want to” I smiled. “A coffee is a good idea I’ll say”“Ya sure” she forced a smileI kept the coffee on her table and since there were no other customers I sat with her. She told me about the chain of events that led to her break up. We talked for a while as she gradually started feeling better. The conversation now shifted to me.“Have you ever been in love” She asked, lost in her chain of thoughts.“I guess so” I said, a little amazed as no one has ever asked me this, the young one’s preferred to tell their tales.“Would you mind telling me about it” she looked at me, the childlike innocence was back.“Back when I had just completed my schooling I started taking tuition to collect some money. I had a really cute student and she was 3 years younger than me. She had amazingly beautiful golden hair, just like yours. Her dad was a business tycoon and was one of the most powerful men around the city. We fell in love and as you might have guessed, her family did not agree. We were young and in love, a dangerous combination” I smiled.“We ran off and married.”“Whoa that’s cute!” She was cheered up.“And that’s when the cuteness ended” I said, not at all delighted walking back in my memory lane.I got up to attend and attended a customer. As I came back, she immediately fired “The cuteness ended?” She asked curiously.“She realized being poor was way too different than she had imagined. My business failed and she could wait no more. She was pregnant and she did not want our child to be born in poverty. Eventually the marriage failed and she went back to her dad, I have never seen her ever since”“Oh I am so sorry” Riya said, now cautious, sensing the drift in my mood.“Post that I was too busy trying to get a business set up, probably in a hope that she would come back. But I failed numerous times and ended up with this gift shop where I get to meet young little birds like you” I smiled. She could probably see the hollowness in my smile; she shifted the conversation out of empathy. She then told me about her ambition of becoming an interior designer, her schooling, background etc. Her father had died in a car accident when she was 2. Her mother remarried and had a son from her new husband. So she had a loving younger brother who was yet to complete his schooling. We chatted for a while with some brief moments of laughter.“It’s getting late Riya, I think you should head back now”“Thank you so much uncle, I feel really good!” she said while picking up her hand bag and the greeting card.“Always a pleasure” I gave a warm smile as she left.**She kept visiting frequently, at times she also brought a couple of friends together. Her visits were accompanied with cries and laughter. Life went on.One bright Sunday morning Riya told me about the issues she had with her dad. He was a wealthy man and that kept him busy. Somehow he managed to pay attention to his son but never to his daughter who was stepping into adolescence and desperately needed his attention.I told her about my dad who died 2 years ago of a heart attack and about my mom whom I was living with.I did not realize how she became a regular part of my life. Her visits sometimes frequented to thrice a week and we would spend hours chatting about love, life, relationships and goals. She loved being mentored and I loved mentoring her. I have had great relations with many customers before but there was something about Riya which always drove me towards her. I felt protective of her, guiding her through the maze of life. And I felt happy doing so.Things went on and 2 years flew by. She had graduated a year ago and was interning at a national firm. It was then his dad decided to marry her to the son of his business partner, a young handsome and wealthy lad. Being left with no choice she decided to step happily into the marriage. She brought this handsome man to the coffee shop once. She had told Ryan a lot about me so he was eager to meet me as well. The three of us chatted for a while before they left. She glanced back at me as they were about to leave, I gave her a nod and passed a smile. She jumped up and happily stepped into the car.“I really need your consent because I know your judgment would never be based on any benefit you were to have from this marriage” she had said before bringing Ryan to the shop.**She handed me an invitation card. There was a space left and the word ‘uncle’ written next to the space.“I just realized I never asked your name, how stupid of me!” she said pointing towards the blank space before uncle.“Aditya” I said and she wrote it down. A car honked in the background. Her mom was here to pick her up.“Okay, now that’s interesting!  My dad’s name was Aditya as well.” She picked up her belongings and started to leave. “See you at the wedding!” she waved. I was withering in pain. A pain my body had experienced once before. I wanted to scream, I tried, but I couldn’t. I wanted to stop Riya, grab her and tell her how much I loved her. And I loved her; I loved her too much to stop her. I had to let it go, once again. She stepped into the car and left with her mom. The golden haired woman I was once married to.And I never saw either of them, neither my daughter, nor the woman I loved.__END__
